Wikimedia Foundation is hiring a Remote Software Engineer III in the Netherlands. This full-time role involves building features for mobile apps and contributing to the MediaWiki stack.

About the Role

As a web full stack mid-career Software Engineer III supporting the Mobile Apps teams, you will build features that create natural handoffs from the web to the app and landing users in exactly the right place.

• Design, improve, and maintain key parts of the MediaWiki stack.
• Ensure your working hours overlap with UTC-2 to UTC+3 time zones to accommodate team members globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience working as a software developer.
• Strong coding abilities in languages such as Java, Typescript, C#.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week).
